Women's Volleyball: Six members of the TCU volleyball team have been named to the 2018 Academic All-Big 12 Volleyball Team. Named to the first team were: Ashley Waggle, Berklie Baker, Allye Beth Deaton, Tori Dilfer (daughter of Trent Dilfer) and Sarah Swanson,. Named to the second team was Cali Novak. First-team members are those who have maintained a 3.20 or better GPA. Second-team selections hold a 3.00 to 3.19 GPA. To qualify, student-athletes must maintain a 3.00 GPA or higher either cumulative or the two previous semesters and must have participated in 20 percent of their team's scheduled contests. Freshmen and transfers are not eligible in their first year of academic residence. Senior student-athletes who have participated for a minimum of two years and meet all the criteria except percent of participation are also eligible.
Men's Basketball: The then 20th-ranked Horned Frogs defeated Oral Roberts 79-62 in Fort Worth on Sunday, November 11. Alex Robinson led TCU with 23 points. Desmond Bane scored 22 for the Frogs, who never trailed in the game. J.D. Miller had 13 points and a career-high seven assists. Redshirt freshman Kevin Samuel, 6-11, 250 pounds, recorded his first career double-double, scoring 11 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. TCU improved to 26-2 in the month of November since the 2014-15 season and has won its last 17 in the month. The Frogs play Fresno State in Schollmaier Arena on Thursday November 15, at 8 pm Central. The game will air on Fox Sports Southwest and 88.7 FM KTCU.
Women's Basketball: The TCU women's basketball team overwhelmed Mississippi Valley State 96-47 in Fort Worth on Sunday, November 11. Horned Frogs senior Jordan Moore scored 18 points to become the 18th player in TCU history to reach 1,000 career points. In addition to Moore, TCU had four players reach double-digits in scoring: Amy Okonkwo, 13; Kianna Ray, 11; Ella Hellessey, 11; and freshman Yummy Morris, 10. TCU wore "KH" patches on its uniform in honor of Katrina Hunter, the mother of Morris. TCU hosts SMU at 2 pm Central on Sunday, November 18, at Ed and Rae Schollmaier Arena.
Women's Rifle: The No. 3- ranked TCU Horned Frogs women's rifle team dropped its first match of the season on Saturday, November 10, to No. 2 West Virginia. The score was 4,703-4,678. Despite the defeat, the Frogs topped the Mountaineers in the air rifle discipline, 2,368-2,366.
Swimming and Diving: TCU swimming and diving hosted Trinity (TX) on Saturday, November 10. The Horned Frogs earned their second home victory of the season. The women's team won, 183-106. The men won 180.5-110.5. TCU's divers travel to Austin for the Texas Diving Invitational, scheduled for November 14-16. The entire team will travel to College Station on December 1 for a double-dual meet against Texas A&M and Rice.
