  • Free Pepsi: Every fan gets a free 24 oz Pepsi product. It is a thank you for TCU Athletics for "being the best fans in the Big 12," says Athletics Director Jeremiah Donati. Vouchers are given to fans when they enter the stadium.

ESPN College GameDay on Saturday, November 3: ESPN's College GameDay will be in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on Saturday, November 3, for the SEC East showdown between #3-ranked LSU and #1-ranked Alabama. The game will kick off at 7 pm Central and will air on CBS. GameDay airs from 8 to 11 am Central on Saturdays on ESPN.

The Line for TCU-Kansas State: At press time, TCU was an eight-point favorite. The over/under was 46.5 points.

TCU-Kansas State Rivalry:

  • TCU and Kansas State are playing for the 12th time in their history.
  • The Horned Frogs hold a 6-5 series lead.
  • Since beginning Big 12 play in 2012, TCU has split its six meetings with Kansas State. The road team has won four of the six games. The Horned Frogs are 2-1 in Manhattan. The Wildcats 2-1 in Fort Worth.
  • Overall, TCU is 3-2 against Kansas State in Fort Worth and 3-3 in Manhattan.
  • TCU head coach Gary Patterson is 3-3 as a head coach versus Kansas State which is his alma mater.
  • Prior to TCU beginning Big 12 play in 2012, the schools had not met on the gridiron since 1986.
  • The first game in the series was a 45-0 K-State victory in Manhattan in 1922.
  • After that initial game, the schools did not play until four consecutive seasons from 1983-86.
  • A 52-45 win in Manhattan in 2015 saw TCU rally from a 35-17 halftime deficit. At the time, it equaled the largest come-from-behind win (18 points) in Gary Patterson's tenure as a head coach.

  • TCU head coach Gary Patterson was born in Larned, Kansas, and grew up in Rozel, Kansas.
  • Patterson went to Pawnee Heights High School and then Dodge City Community College, before heading to Kansas State.
  • Patterson is a 1983 graduate of Kansas State. He was a strong safety and outside linebacker for the Wildcats.
  • Patterson is 3-3 as a head coach versus his alma mater.
  • Saturday's game features the two winningest coaches at their respective schools in TCU's Gary Patterson (163) and Kansas State's Bill Snyder (213). Patterson and Snyder are the only two active head coaches nationally with at least 163 wins at their current schools.
  • Former TCU women's basketball coach Jeff Mittie coaches the Kansas State women's basketball team. Mittie's son, Jordan, is a defensive tackle on the Kansas State football team.
  • On the Kansas State football roster, there are 22 players from Texas, including two from Fort Worth: Kendall Adams (#21) and Isaiah Harris (#2), both from All Saints Episcopal High School.
  • On the TCU football roster, there are no players from Kansas.

  • TCU is 38-15 in regular-season games following a loss under Patterson.
  • The Frogs have lost three straight, to Oklahoma, Texas Tech and Kansas. 
  • TCU is one of just five programs nationally to finish in the top 10 of the final polls at least three times in the last four seasons. The others are Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State and Oklahoma. 
  • TCU head coach Gary Patterson's 18 seasons as TCU's head coach are more than the combined tenures of the 11 other FBS head coaches in the state of Texas. 
  • Under Patterson, TCU has posted seven top-10 finishes and 11 in the top 25. The Horned Frogs have won at least 11 games in 10 of the last 15 seasons.

  • TCU defensive end and Preseason Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year Ben Banogu had 4.5 tackles for loss, including two sacks, at Kansas. He has a team-best 6.5 sacks on the year.
  • In the Kansas game, Michael Collins became the first non-Texan starting quarterback at TCU in the 21 seasons Gary Patterson has been on campus. Collins completed 23-of-33 passes for 351 yards and a touchdown while adding two rushing scores.
  • Jalen reagor had a career-best 177 receiving yards on a career-high tying eight receptions at Kansas. Thirty-one of his team-best 46 receptions this year have been for a first down or touchdown.

TCU Injuries: TCU continues to deal with injuries, especially to key players. About 40 Horned Frogs have dealt with significant injuries this season. Quarterback Shawn Robison is out for season-ending shoulder surgery. Safety Innis Gaines suffered an injury in the Texas Tech game. He is likely out for the season. Safety Niko Small re-injured himself in the Kansas game. His status for the Kansas State game and the rest of the season is unknown. Linebacker/defensive end Ty Summers suffered an injury in the Kansas game. His status for the Kansas State game and the rest of the season is unknown. Starting offensive guard Cordel Iwuagwu suffered an injury in the Texas game. His status for the Kansas State game is unknown. Third-string defensive back Michael Onyemaobi (#22), a redshirt freshman, suffered a season-ending injury in the game against Southern. TCU defensive end Ross Blacklock suffered an injury during fall camp. He is out for the season. Freshman safety Atanza Vongor suffered a season-ending injury during fall camp.

Amon G. Carter Stadium: Construction is underway, with completion in time for the 2019 season, on the $100 million Amon G. Carter Stadium premium seating expansion. The project calls for two new levels of luxury seating above the current upper deck on the east side of the stadium. Have Fun Tailgating at Amon Carter Before and After the Football Games: Donor parking lots open five hours prior to kickoff. For games that start before 2:30 pm Central, lots must be cleared by three hours after the game ends. For games that start at 2:30 pm Central or later, lots must be cleared 90 minutes after the game ends, or by 11 pm Central (whichever comes first, due to city ordinance).

  • Two-and-a-half hours prior to kickoff: Frog Walk begins.
  • Two hours prior to kickoff: autographs by members of other TCU athletic teams.

  • Important! Security measures at TCU Athletic Events: Only the following items are permitted into TCU athletic facilities:
  • Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and not exceeding 14 inches by 14 inches
  • One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar)
  • One unopened bottle of water
  • Small clutch bags, approximately the size of a hand, with or without a handle or strap can be taken into the stadium with one of the clear plastic bags

Exceptions are made for medically necessary items after proper inspection at the stadium gates. Backpacks, diaper bags and other similar bags are not be allowed.
