TCU Soccer Gets Historic Win




In a first-round NCAA tournament game on Friday November 9, the TCU women's soccer team beat BYU 2-1 at Garvey-Rosenthal Stadium on the TCU campus in Fort Worth. It was the team's first-ever NCAA Tournament win (the tournament is called the College Cup).

Messiah Bright and Yazmeen Ryan scored the Frogs' goals. It was the sixth goal of Bright's career. It was Ryan's fifth goal of the year and the ninth of her career. It also was her fourth game-winning goal this season and sixth of her career. As TCU's goalie, Emily Alvarado made six saves.

For its second-round game, TCU (13-4-3) faces Texas A&M on Friday, November 16, in Knoxville, Tennessee. Game time is to be announced.
