The Texas Sports Hall of Fame, based in Waco, Texas, has announced these seven people as its 2019 Hall of Fame class:
- Maureen Connolly Brinker (deceased): former tennis star
- Tony Franklin: former Texas A&M and NFL kicker
- Andre Johnson: former Houston Texans wide receiver
- Nancy Lieberman: former professional basketball star
- Loyd Phillips former University of Arkansas Outland Trophy winner
- Greg Swindell: former University of Texas and MLB pitcher
- Jason Witten: former Dallas Cowboy All-Pro tight end
This 2019 class will be honored on Saturday, March 30, 2019, at 6 pm at
the Waco Convention Center. A reception will be held at 4 pm at the Texas Sports
Hall of Fame.
