Bill Snyder retired as the head football coach at Kansas State University after last season. He was the head coach from 1989 to 2005, and again from 2009 to 2018. Snyder initially retired from the position from 2006 to 2008, before being rehired. Snyder is loved by Wildcat fans. The football stadium is named after him and the stadium's main entrance is highlighted by a statue of Snyder.
