Former NBA great and current DJ Shaquille "Diesel" O'Neal will headline a "Schollmaier Live" event, scheduled to be held at TCU's Schollmaier Arena on October 25, from 8:30 to 10 pm.
The event is being held to showcase TCU's 2019-20 men's and women's basketball teams, members of which will showcase their skills. There also will be a dunk contest and performances by the band and TCU spirit groups.
Judging the dunk contest will be O'Neal, and TCU Lettermen's Hall of Famers and basketball superstars Sandora Irvin and Kurt Thomas
The women’s basketball team returns eight letter-winners from
last season’s team that went 24-11 and reached the WNIT semifinals. Head coach Reagan Pebley enters her sixth
season.
The TCU men’s basketball team is coming off its
third-straight season of 20 or more wins. Head coach Jamie Dixon enters his fourth season.
