TCU Women's Soccer Team Earns NCAA Tournament Spot




The TCU women's soccer team has earned a bid to the NCAA Tournament for the fourth straight season. The Horned Frogs will face Arizona at the Wildcats' Mulcahy Stadium in the first round. Date and time are to be determined.

The winner of the TCU-Arizona game will advance to the second round, to face either Stony Brook or Penn State. Second-round play begins Friday, November 15.

The Horned Frogs are 11-7-3 on the season and advanced to the championship game of the Big 12 Tournament for the third time in the last four seasons. TCU is one of 20 programs to appear in the last four NCAA Tournaments.

TCU and Arizona will be meeting in the first round of the NCAA Tournament for the second time in three years. The Horned Frogs opened the 2017 tournament in Tucson, losing 2-1. The two teams met earlier this season in Arizona. The Wildcats won, 4-3.


The Big 12 earned six bids to the tournament. Oklahoma State and Kansas earned No. 3 seeds. Texas Tech is a No. 4 seed. West Virginia and Texas also are in the field of 64.
