Opened in 1923, and last renovated and expanded in 2016, Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium, also known as Owen Field or The Palace on the Prairie, is the home of the Oklahoma Sooners football team. The official seating capacity of the stadium is 80,126, making it the 23rd largest stadium in the world, the 15th largest college stadium in the United States and the second largest in the Big 12 Conference, behind Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium at the University of Texas at Austin. Record attendance for the stadium is 88,388, on November 11, 2017, for No. 5 Oklahoma vs No. 6 TCU. The Sooners won, 38-20. Attendance for the November 23, 2019, game between then-No. 9 Oklahoma and TCU was 82,241. The Sooners prevailed, 28-24.

As Oklahoma's head coach since 2017, Riley is 4-0 against Patterson and TCU, including a 41-17 win in the 2017 Big 12 Championship Game.

For the third straight game, TCU's captains were (from left to right) Garret Wallow (#30), Ross Blacklock (#90), Cordel Iwuagwu (#70) and Jalen Reagor (#1).

Oklahoma quarterback Jalen Hurts (#1, photos above and below) completed only 11 of 21 passes against the Horned Frogs' defense. He passed for 145 yards and two touchdowns. He was intercepted once and sacked once.

Oklahoma quarterback Jalen Hurts (#1, photos above and below) hurt the Frogs with his running. He ran 28 times for 173 yards and two touchdowns. He had a long run of 32 yards. He also lost one fumble. Combined with his 145 yards passing, Hurts accounted for 318 total yards against TCU in the Sooners' 28-24 victory.

Oklahoma running back Kennedy Brooks (#26, photos above and below) ran 25 times for 149 yards against TCU. He had a long run of 31 yards.

The Frogs held Oklahoma wide receiver CeeDee Lamb (#2) to two catches for 16 yards, including this five-yard touchdown catch in the second quarter against freshman cornerback Kee'yon Stewart (#2). Senior cornerback Jeff Gladney did not play against the Sooners in the first half because of a targeting penalty he received in the previous week's game against Texas Tech. Lamb is a finalist for the Biletnikoff Award, given to college football's top receiver.
In the first quarter, Oklahoma receiver Brayden Willis (#81) caught a 20-yard touchdown pass despite the defensive efforts of TCU cornerback Julius Lewis (#24).
During the Oklahoma game, TCU true freshman quarterback Max Duggan (#15, photos above and below) received encouragement from co-offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Sonny Cumbie (photo above) and graduate assistant coach Kenny Hill (photo below), who is a former TCU quarterback.

TCU true freshman quarterback Max Duggan (#15, photos above and below) had a bad passing game against Oklahoma defensive lineman Jalen Redmond (#31) and his Sooners teammates. Duggan completed only seven of 21 passes for 65 yards. He threw no touchdown passes. The Frogs' 65 passing yards is the Frogs' fewest and the fewest by a Big 12 team this season. TCU's previous low this season was 75 passing yards against Purdue, in West Lafayette, Indiana. The Frogs won that game, 34-13.

TCU true freshman quarterback Max Duggan (#15) constantly was pressured by Oklahoma defenders, including linebacker Dashaun White (#23), who had four tackles and one quarterback-hurry. Duggan was sacked twice and suffered 11 yards in losses.
On the ground against Oklahoma, TCU true freshman quarterback Max Duggan (#15, photos above and below) ran for 92 yards on 12 carries. He had one rushing touchdown (photo below), of 11 yards, in the third quarter. Duggan led the Frogs in rushing for the fourth time this season.

TCU senior running back Sewo Olonilua (#33, photos above and below) had a one-yard touchdown run (photo above) against the Sooners in the second quarter to cut Oklahoma's lead to 21-7. Olonilua ran the football only five times, for 19 yards. He caught one pass for minus-three yards. Olonilua's touchdown was his team-best seventh of the season and 17th of his career.

TCU senior running back Darius Anderson (#6) ran the ball only five times for seven yards in the Oklahoma game. He caught one pass for 15 yards.
TCU senior receiver Jalen Reagor (#1) had only 25 total yards against Oklahoma. He caught a nine-yard pass and had a 16-yard run.
TCU senior kicker Jonathan Song (#46) kicked a 24-yard field goal in the second quarter. The Lou Groza Award semifinalist is 22-of-23 on the season and 39-of-43 in his career. He is 38-of-39 on attempts of 40 yards and less.
With 12:56 to go in the second quarter, the TCU defense had allowed the Sooners to score three touchdowns and the Frogs trailed 21-0. Gary Patterson rallied his defense (photos above and below) and the Sooners did not score another point until they scored a touchdown with 7:11 left in the third quarter. The Frogs shut out the Sooners in the fourth quarter of the 28-24 loss. Against the TCU defense, Oklahoma ran the football 64 times for 366 yards. The Sooners threw the football 21 times, completing 11 passes for 145 yards.

Early in the fourth quarter, TCU senior safety Vernon Scott (#26, photos above and below) intercepted a Jalen Hurts pass at the TCU two-yard line and returned it 98 yards for a touchdown. It was the final score of TCU's 28-24 loss to the Sooners. The interception was the second of Scott's career. The return was one yard short of a school record. Quincy Butler holds the TCU record with a 99-yard interception for a touchdown against Southern Mississippi in 2004. The defensive score was the first of the season for the Frogs. Their last previous defensive touchdown came when Jawuan Johnson returned a fumble 15 yards for a touchdown in the 2018 regular-season finale against Oklahoma State. The interception for a touchdown was the first pick-six for TCU since Jeff Gladney's 94-yard interception for a touchdown at Texas Tech in 2017.

Sophomore safety Trevon Moehrig (#7) forced a fumble (photo above) by Oklahoma wide receiver Jadon Haselwood (#11). The fumble was recovered by TCU senior safety Vernon Scott (#26), who was congratulated on the TCU bench by redshirt freshman safety Atanza Vongor (#9, photo below). In last week's TCU-Texas Tech game, Scott forced a fumble and Moehrig made the recovery.

TCU freshman safety Nook Bradford (#28) takes the football from Oklahoma quarterback Jalen Hurts (#1) at the TCU seven-yard line, with 7:51 left in the game and Oklahoma leading, 28-24. In addition to the strip-fumble, which was his first career takeaway, Bradford had a career-best 13 tackles, including two tackles for loss.
TCU senior safety Vernon Scott (#26) had seven tackles, including this tackle of OU quarterback Jalen Hurts (#1).
The TCU defense, including freshman linebacker Wyatt Harris (#25) and senior safety Vernon Scott (#26), held Oklahoma's aerial game to 145 yards and two touchdowns. Wide receiver Charleston Rambo had six receptions for 77 yards.
TCU junior linebacker Garret Wallow (#30, photos above and below) and senior defensive tackle Ross Blacklock (#90, photo below) helped the TCU defense limit Oklahoma's high-octane offense, including quarterback Jalen Hurts (#1) and running back Kennedy Brooks (#26), to four touchdowns. The 28 points is the least points the Sooners have scored in 11 games this season. Wallow had 16 tackles, including two for a loss and one sack, to lead TCU in tackles for the ninth time in 11 games this season. Wallow reached double figures in tackles for the sixth time this season and the ninth time in his career.

TCU junior defensive tackle Corey Bethley (#94) and an official signal first down for the Frogs after the defense held Oklahoma on a fourth-down play. The Sooners were one-of-three on fourth down plays, including a failed attempt with 3:16 left in the game and Oklahoma leading, 28-24.
The TCU defense had a big day against Oklahoma, but the biggest defensive play of the game was made by the Sooners. With TCU driving for a go-ahead touchdown with less than two minutes remaining in the game, Oklahoma defensive back Brendan Radley-Hiles (#44, top photo) intercepted at the Oklahoma 32-yard line a fourth-down pass from TCU quarterback Max Duggan that was intended for tight end Pro Wells. Although Oklahoma players came onto the field from their sideline and a group of Sooners celebrated by running down the field into their end zone and posing for their fans, they did not receve an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. After the interception, the Oklahoma offense was able to run out the clock, particularly when the Sooners received a generous spot on a third-and-one play that gave them a first down with about a minute-and-a-half left in the game. The defensive play by Radley-Hiles reminded TCU fans of the 2015 game between No. 7 Oklahoma and No. 18 TCU in Norman. TCU quarterback Bram Kohlhausen had rallied the Frogs from 17 points down in the fourth quarter to within 30-29 after a TCU touchdown with less than a minute to play in the game. TCU went for the lead by attempting a two-point conversion. Kohlhausen had his pass to Emanual Parker batted down by Oklahoma defensive back Steven Parker. The Sooners' offense then ran out the clock for the victory.
