TCU Soccer Players Honored



TCU soccer players Yazmeen Ryan and Messiah Bright have been named All-Big 12 team as voted upon by theto the All-Big 12 team and Gracie Brian and Grace Collins have been named to the Big 12 All-Freshmen squad.

Ryan is the third Horned Frog in program history to twice be named to the first-team. She was named first-team all-conference in 2018. Ryan has set personal bests in goals scored (seven), assists (eight) and points (22). She is third in the Big 12 with the eight assists and ninth in total points.

Bright hbecame the first Frog since 2008 to score double-figure goals with a career-high 10. She has also contributed six assists for 26 points. She has contributed two game-winning goals and leads the team with 78 shots. The 26 points are the most by a Frog since 2008 and are tied for the second-most in program history.

Brian has put together the best freshman campaign since 2008. She has nine goals and four assists for 22 points. She has played in and started all 19 games this season.

Collins ranks fourth on the team with 14 points. She has three goals and co-leads the team with eight assists. Her eight assists are tied for second in a single season at TCU. She has played in and started all 19 games this season.

The Frogs, who ended conference play with a 4-3-2 record, are competing in the Big 12 conference tournament in Kansas City, Missouri. On November 3, in the tournament, TCU beat Texas on penalty kicks, after two overtime periods. The Frogs play Texas Tech in the tournament's semifinal round on Friday, November 8, at 7 pm Central.
