Against TCU, Baylor starting quarterback Charlie Brewer (#12, photos above and below) completed 27 of 41 passes for 195 yards and two touchdowns. He was intercepted once and sacked three times. Brewer's touchdown passes came during the second and third overtime periods. Brewer is a semifinalist for the 2019 Davey O'Brien National Quarterback Award.

On the ground against TCU, Baylor quarterback Charlie Brewer (#12) gained 41 yards on 15 carries. He was Baylor's leading rusher in the game. He scored one rushing touchdown, on this three-yarder (photos above and below), on a second-down play, in the first overtime period.

Until 36 seconds remained in regulation, TCU had held Baylor to six points (two field goals by redshirt freshman John Mayers) and was staring at a 9-6 upset of the country's 12th-ranked team. However, a 51-yard field goal on fourth down by Mayers (#95) (photos above and below) tied the game, 9-9. Baylor won the game, 29-23, in three overtimes. Prior to his game-tying kick, Mayers' longest successful field goal had been from 38 yards.

Baylor senior wide receiver Denzel Mims (#5) caught a four-yard touchdown pass, on this first-down play, from Baylor quarterback Charlie Brewer in the third overtime period. The six points proved to be the winning points in the Bears' 29-23 victory over TCU. Mims also caught a 20-yard touchdown pass, on a fourth-and-five play, from Brewer in the second overtime. During regulation, the TCU defense held Mims, who is Baylor's leading receiver, to only three receptions for 21 years.
Baylor running back JaMycal Hasty (#6) is confronted by TCU linebacker Ben Wilson (#18) and TCU safety Ar'Darius Washington (#27). The Frogs held Hasty to 22 yards rushing on nine carries.
Baylor's leading rusher on the season, John Lovett (#7), was held to 37 yards rushing on eight carries by the Frogs, including linebacker Ben Wilson (#18), defensive end Ochaun Mathis (#32) and safety Ar'Darius Washington (#27).

The TCU offense was stymied by Baylor. The Frogs gained only 308 total yards and in the third overtime period couldn't score a tying touchdown, despite having the football with a first-and-goal at the one-yard line.

Despite an injured finger on his throwing hand, TCU quarterack Max Duggan (#15, photos above and below) played the entire game against Baylor. He completed only 14 of 32 passes for 140 yards and one touchdown, which came in the first overtime period. He has thrown a touchdown pass in eight of the nine games this season. Against Baylor, Duggan also threw three interceptions, with one of the interceptions coming in the third overtime period, ending the game in a 29-23 TCU loss.

TCU quarterback Max Duggan (#15, photos above and below) ran for 46 yards on 14 carries against Baylor.

TCU quarterback Max Duggan (#15, photos above and below) was under constant pressure by the Baylor defense. Duggan was sacked three times.

TCU quarterback Max Duggan (#15) is sacked by Baylor sophomore linebacker Terrel Bernard (#26). Bernard terrorized the Frogs. He had a career-high 19 tackles (the most by a Bear since 2011), a career-best three tackles for loss, a sack and an interception. His performance earned him Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week honors.
In the game against Oklahoma State on November 2, TCU true freshman quarterback Max Duggan (#15) suffered an injury to a finger on his right (throwing) hand. Despite the injury, Duggan played the entire game against Baylor (photo above) and nearly willed the Frogs to victory. In the third overtime period, with the Frogs trailing 29-23, Duggan appeared to have scored the tying touchdown on a 20-yard run (photo below). The replay booth determined Duggan had stepped out at the three-yard line. TCU failed to score on the drive, resulting in the Frogs' fifth loss of the year.

During the Baylor game, TCU sophomore receiver Pro Wells (#81) comforts TCU quarterback Max Duggan (#15) after Duggan had thrown one of his three interceptions. Earlier in the game, Wells dropped what would have been a touchdown-pass from Duggan. Despite the drop, Wells tied a career-high with four receptions. He set a new career high with 58 receiving yards.

TCU co-offensive coordinator/running backs coach Curtis Luper (right) discusses with receiver Pro Wells (#81) the pass he dropped early in the Baylor game. If he had caught the pass, Wells likely would have scored a touchdown.
TCU senior running back Sewo Olonilua (#33, photos above and below) was the Frogs' leading rusher against Baylor. He carried the football 19 times for 79 yards, including a long run of 35 yards. He also caught four passes for 30 yards. Olonilua has rushed for 1,512 yards in his TCU career.

TCU running back Sewo Olonilua (#33, photos above and below) scored a touchdown in the second overtime period against Baylor. Helping Olonilua celebrate his score were quarterback Max Duggan (#15), tight end Carter Ware (#47), offensive guard David Bolisomi (#62) and center Coy McMillon (#69). The touchdown was Olonilua's sixth rushing touchdown of the year, tying him with running back Darius Anderson for the team lead.

TCU senior running back Darius Anderson (#6, photos above and below) ran for only 31 yards on 12 carries against Baylor. He also caught two passes, for minus one yard.

TCU running back Darius Anderson was "greeted" by Baylor linebacker Terrel Bernard (#26) several times during the TCU-Baylor game, during which several other Frogs also were introduced to the Baylor defensive juggernaut. Bernard had a career-high 19 tackles (the most by a Bear since 2011), a career-best three tackles-for-loss, a sack and an interception. His performance earned him Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week honors.
TCU true freshman kicker Griffin Kell (#39) kicked a 47-yard goal in the first quarter to give the Horned Frogs a 3-0 lead over Baylor. He is three-of-four on the season. His only missed field goal has been from 57 yards.
TCU senior kicker Jonathan Song (#46) kicks a 37-yard field goal with 29 seconds left in the second quarter, to give the Frogs a 6-0 lead over Baylor.
TCU kicker Jonathan Song (#46) reacts after making a 31-yard field goal as time expired in the first half of the game against Baylor. The kick gave TCU a 9-0 lead at the half.
TCU sophomore wide receiver Te'vailance Hunt (#9) made a spectacular 24-yard catch in the first overtime period. The catch was so spectacular that two officials, with a little help from TCU receiver Pro Wells (#81), had to discuss whether or not the catch was, in fact, a legitimate catch for a touchdown. After replay review, the catch was ruled a touchdown (photo below) and the two teams headed into a second overtime with the scored tied, 16-16. The touchdown reception was the first receiving score of Hunt's career.

TCU senior receiver Jalen Reagor (#1, photos above and below), who often was defended by Baylor senior cornerback Jameson Houston (#11), caught only one pass, for just eight yards, against the Bears. He carried the football twice, for four yards.

Against Baylor, TCU sophomore wide receiver Taye Barber (#4) caught only one pass for 14 yards and rushed once for five yards.

TCU's defense dominated most of the Baylor game, but it was the Bears' defense that came up with the final, decisive play. Baylor junior cornerback Grayland Arnold (#1) preserved a 29-23 victory for the undefeated and Big 12 first-place Bears by intercepting in the end zone a Max Duggan fourth-and-goal pass intended for TCU wide receiver Taye Barber (#4).
