TCU Offensive Lineman Hollins a Semifinalist for Award

TCU offensive lineman Kellton Hollins (#55) has been named a semifinalist for the Jason Witten Collegiate Man of the Year Award. The award primarily honors a player's leadership on and off the field.

Jason Witten, after whom the award is named, is a longtime member of the Dallas Cowboys. Through 14 NFL seasons, Witten has has proved himself to be one of the best tight ends in NFL history and one of the most prolific pass catchers in Cowboys' history. He also has a long history of sportsmanship, leadership and community service.

Former TCU linebacker and now Green Bay Packer Ty Summers was a 2018 semifinalist for the award.

Hollins, a junior who primarily plays center for the Horned Frogs, is president of S.P.A.R.K., an organization started by TCU football student-athletes to provide motivation to local youth about the importance of education and serving the community. Hollins, who is from Zachary, Louisiana, also has worked with Fort Worth youth through H.O.P.E. Farm, Inc., University Christian Church, and TCU's Starpoint School. He also has been a regular speaker at Boys and Girls Clubs of America and to little league football teams.

Hollins was selected by the TCU football program as its 2019 Big 12 Champions for Life representative and he was a nominee for the AFCA Good Works Team and Wuerffel Trophy, honoring college football's top community servant.
