TCU Alum Wins LPGA Major: On Sunday, September 16, TCU alum Angela Stanford won the Evian Championship 2018, at the Evian Resort Golf Club in Évian-les-Bains France. It was Stanford's firs win of a major championship ad sixth overall LPGA tourney win. She had not won on tour since 2012. Her last victory was in February 2012 at the HSBC Women's Championship in Singapore. She has remained competitive season after season on the tour, as shown by her career earnings of nearly $12 million.
TCU Soccer Wins: The TCU women's soccer team improved to 7-1-1 with a 6-1 win over Butler in Garvey-Rosenthal Soccer Stadium on the TCU Campus on Sunday, September 16. Kayla Hill scored three goals -- her first hat trick and the 14th in program history. The women continue their homestand Friday night (September 21) when they host Iowa State in the Big
12 opener for both schools. First touch is set for 7 pm. The match
will be televised live on FOX Sports Southwest Plus.
TCU Volleyball Wins: The TCU volleyball
team beat North Dakota State 3-0 (25-18,
25-16, 25-16) on Friday, September 14, at The
Rickel, inside the University Recreation Center on the TCU Campus. The Frogs improved their record to 8-3. In the match, TCU had 38 kills, 51
digs and seven blocks. TCU begins Big 12 play on Wednesday, September 19, when the Frogs host Oklahoma at The Rickel at 7 pm. The match will airing live on FOX Sports Southwest Plus.
Lodolo Ranked High: D1baseball.com has ranked TCU Horned Frogs starting pitcher Nick Lodolo as the fourth-best college
Major League Baseball Draft prospect in 2019. The
6’6″, 185-pound, left-handed junior was 7-4 last year, with a 4.33 ERA
and 93 strikeouts. Lodolo was taken 41st overall by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 2016 MLB Draft. He turned down $1.75 million, to go to college, and play for the Horned Frogs.
Lodolo's college career includes two-time 2nd-team All-Big
12 Conference, 2018 2nd-team Academic All-Big 12, 2017 Baseball America
2nd-team Freshman All-American, 2017 Big 12 All-Freshman team, and 2017 Big
12 Academic All-rookie team.
Athletics Donations and Revnue: In the recently released 2017-18 TCU Athletics Annual Report, TCU Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Jeremiah Donati reported that the TCU Frog Club raised $13,050,177 in scholarship support. This marks the third consecutive year and only the third time in our history to top $13 million in annual scholarship support. Combined with $695,064 in endowed payout, the overall total was $13,745,241. Over the last three years, the TCU Frog Club has raised more than $110 million. There was an all-time high number of athletics donors in 2017 with 6,957 individuals. TCU also had a record-breaking year in licensing revenue with $1.3 million. Overall, TCU Athletics had unprecedented revenue growth during the 2017-18 season. Total revenue for the 2018 fiscal year was $28,283,974.

TCU Equestrian Wins: The fifth-ranked TCU equestrian team opened the 2018-19 campaign by defeating Texas Tech in an exhibition, 14-1, on Friday, September 21. TCU captured all four Most Outstanding Performer awards, and 12 riders saw their first action in a Horned Frog uniform.
The Frogs swept the Hunter Seat events and took three points each in both Western events (horsemanship and reining), while only conceding one.
In Equitation over Fences, the Frogs swept the discipline, 4-0. In Reining, TCU won the discipline, 3-1. On the Flat, the Frogs swept the discipline. In Horsemanship, the Frogs finished won the discipline 3-0.
