The tailgating flags and tents were taken out of the moth balls and put into use for the Horned Frogs' 2018 season-opener against Southern in Amon G. Carter Stadium on Saturday, September 1.
Charlie Wilson (photos above and below) celebrated his 60th birthday on August 27. Unfortunately, he wasn't at the Midnite Madness tailgate prior to the TCU-Southern football game on September 1 because he was transferred with his job to California. At least on the West Coast he will be rooting for the Horned Frogs in style! But, his homemade food, and especially his homemade ice cream, plus his ever-present smile, will be missed at the tailgates.
Barb and Tim Laska earned the inaugural Golden Frog award at the first Midnite Madness tailgate of 2018. The Laskas took home the already coveted award based on the homemade egg, sausage, cheese and jalapeno casserole they brought to the tailgate.
