Eigteen TCU Football Players Receive All-Big 12 Academic Recognition

Emari Demercado (#3) and Zach Evans (#6) are two of the 18 TCU football players who have received Academic All-Big 12 recognition.

Eighteen TCU football players have received Academic All-Big 12 recognition.

Senior snapper Antonio Ortiz, a semifinalist for the Patrick Mannelly Award as the nation's best senior snapper, is First-Team Academic All-Big 12 for the third consecutive year.

Graduate student Emari Demercadi, sophomore tight end Dominic DiNunzio, sophomore tight end Mitchell Hansen and junior wide receiver Jack Powers are First-Team Academic All-Big 12.

Junior quarterback Max Duggan, junior offensive guard John Lanz and sophomore safety Deshawn McCuin are Second-Team Academic All-Big 12 for the second straight year.

Senior wide receiver Taye Barber, as Second-Team Academic All-Big 12, is Academic All-Big 12 for the second time.

Sophomore running back Zach Evans is Second-Team Academic All-Big 12 after being on the Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team last season.
