On Selection Sunday, December 8, TCU (8-4, 6-3 Big 12) was selected to play Louisiana in the Isleta New Mexico Bowl, at University Stadium, on the campus of the University of New Mexico, in Albuquerque.
The game is scheduled to be played on Saturday, December 28. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:15 pm (Central). ESPN will televise the game.
Isleta is a resort and casino in Albuquerque.
The New Mexico Bowl marks the 36th bowl appearance in TCU's history. The Horned Frogs are 18-16-1 in bowl games. Eleven of TCU'slast 12 bowl games and 13 of the past 15 have been decided by eight points or less.
Louisiana, which is known as the Ragin' Cajuns and is a Group of Five team, went 10-3 this season, 7-1 in the Sun Belt Conference.
Louisiana, which is located in Lafayette, Louisiana, lost to Marshall, 31-3, in the the Sun Belt Conference Championship Game, on December 7, in Lafayette.
