TCU Football's 2025 Recruiting Class Ranks No.1 in the Big 12, No. 20 Nationally

 

On the first day of the three-day early national signing period (December 4 - 6) for 2025 college athletic recruits, TCU football signed 29 student-athletes.

The Horned Frogs’ class is rated No. 1 in the Big 12 for the first time. Its No. 20 national ranking is the highest in program history in the 247Sports era.

Twenty of the 25 high school signees are from Texas. Twenty of TCU’s newcomers will enroll for the spring semester.

 

2025 TCU Football Recruiting Class:

• Keylan Abrams (ILB, 6-2, 205, DeSoto, Texas; DeSoto High School): Three-star recruit ... rated the No. 102 linebacker in the nation in the 247Sports Composite and the No. 145 prospect in Texas ... recorded 29 tackles for loss, including 23.5 sacks, as part of 87 stops his junior year ... also forced two fumbles and recorded a safety ... totaled 74 tackles, including 15.5 for loss, with 10.5 sacks and a fumble recovery while playing the edge his sophomore year ... helped lead DeSoto to a Texas 6A Division II state championship ... also competed in the shot put and discus ... posted a 37-9 in the shot put as a sophomore. 
• Joseph Albright (S, 5-11, 175, Houston, Texas; Westfield High School): Rated a three-star prospect ... the 247Sports Composite had him as the nation’s No. 82 safety and No. 145 recruit in Texas ... recorded 82 tackles, including two for loss, with nine pass breakups, an interception and forced fumble as a junior ... also saw action on offense and as a return specialist ... played at Aldine Eisenhower High School prior to his junior year ... member of Westfield’s Texas 6A regional-qualfying 4x100 relay ... ran a 11.12 in the 100 meters his junior year.  
• Dillon Arkansas (ILB, 6-1, 190, Denton, Texas; Ryan High School): Three-star recruit rated by 247Sports the No. 110 linebacker in the nation and No. 158 prospect in Texas ... totaled 80 tackles as a junior with six for loss and a sack ... also had two pass breakups, a forced fumble and fumble recovery ... had 73 stops, including five for loss, with two sacks, two interceptions, a forced fumble and pass breakup his sophomore year ... his brother, DJ Arkansas, is a linebacker at Rice.
• Perry Cole Jr. (DL, 6-3, 300, Palestine, Texas; Palestine High School; Trinity Valley CC): Rated by the 247Sports Composite JUCO as the nation’s No. 8 defensive lineman and No. 3 overall recruit in Texas ... the country’s No. 14 JUCO player by 247Sports ... totaled 29 tackles and two sacks as a junior at Palestine High School ... named to the Texas Sports Writers Association 4A All-State team as a punter ... averaged 35.6 yards and placed seven punts inside the 20 ... also played basketball and competed in the discus with a junior season throw of 125-5.
• Kollin Collier (S, 6-1, 180, Memphis, Tenn.; Munford High School; Hutchinson CC): Recorded three interceptions, five pass breakups, two forced fumbles and 33 tackles, including a sack, for Hutchinson Community College in 2024 ... an ESPN three-star recruit.
• Jon Denman (RB, 5-10, 195, Palestine, Texas; Westwood High School): The nation’s No. 60 running back and No. 120 recruit in Texas by 247Sports ... three-star prospect ... rushed for 871 yards and 14 touchdowns as a junior at Palestine High School ... utilized as a Wildcat quarterback ... also played basketball and ran track ... had a 10.93 time in the 100 meters his junior year and a 23.13 in the indoor 200 ... his nephew is fellow TCU signee Keylan Abrams.
• Floyd Guidry (DL, 6-2, 295, Spring, Texas; Spring High School): Rated the nation’s No. 94 defensive lineman by 247Sports ... three-star recruit and the No. 118 overall prospect in Texas ... recorded 10 sacks with 15 quarterback hurries his senior season ... totaled 68 tackles with 49 solo ... had 27 tackles for loss with six sacks as part of 47 stops his junior year ... also had a forced fumble and pass breakup ... the District 14-6A Defensive Newcomer of the Year as a sophomore.  
• Sam Haley (ILB, 6-3, 225, Nashville, Tenn.; Ensworth High School): The No. 26 overall player in Tennessee and No. 105 linebacker in the nation by 247Sports ... three-star recruit ... had 43 tackles with nine for loss as well as two sacks, two pass breakups and a forced fumble as a junior ... totaled 36 stops his sophomore year, including five for loss and two sacks ... broke up two passes. 
• Jacobe Hayes (ATH, 5-10, 175, Mansfield, Texas; Mansfield High School): Three-star recruit ... rated the nation’s No. 207 wide receiver and No. 240 overall player in Texas ... totaled 41 receptions for 775 yards and 14 touchdowns as a senior ... also ran for two scores on seven carries ... First-Team District 11-6A as a junior and sophomore ... had 34 catches for 487 yards and four touchdowns his junior year ... caught 33 passes for 525 yards and seven scores as a sophomore ... also ran track for Mansfield’s Texas 6A state-qualifying 4x100 relay ... clocked at 11.13 in the 100 meters and a 21.71 in the 200. 
• Gil Jackson (CB, 6-3, 185, Missouri City, Texas; Ridge Point High School): The nation’s No. 104 cornerback recruit by the 247Sports Composite ... three-star recruit also ranked No. 181 overall in Texas ... attended George Ranch High School in Richmond through his junior year ... had 35 tackles, including one for loss, as a senior ... recorded four pass breakups and returned his lone interception for a touchdown ... totaled three picks with one for a touchdown, six pass breakups and 12 tackles his junior year.  
• Cameron Jamerson (CB, 6-1, 170, Pearland, Texas; Shadow Creek High School): Three-star recruit rated by 247Sports as the No. 76 athlete in the nation and No. 127 overall prospect ... had an interception, two forced fumbles, a pass breakup and seven solo tackles as a senior ... also competed in track and ran an 11.31 in the 100 as a junior.  
• Dane Jones (WR, 6-0, 180, Missouri City, Texas; Ridge Point High School): Rated by the 247Sports Composite as the No. 80 overall recruit in Texas and the nation’s No. 91 wide receiver ... totaled 139 receptions, 2,280 yards and 33 touchdowns over his final three seasons for Ridge Point ... recorded 55 receptions for 967 yards and 16 touchdowns as a senior ... had 50 catches, 825 yards and 13 TDs his junior year ... played for Shadow Creek High School in Alvin prior to his junior season ... contributed 34 receptions for 488 yards and four touchdowns as a sophomore ... also ran track with a time of 11.13 in the 100 meters as a junior ... older brother Seth Jones was a wide receiver for Baylor and USF.
•  Jackson Jones (OL, 6-7, 300, Franklinton, La.; Pine High School): Three-star recruit ranked as the nation’s No. 97 offensive tackle and No. 39 overall player in Louisiana ... led Pine High School to its first 10-win season in school history. 
• Jared Martin (Edge, 6-3, 235, El Centro, Calif.; Central Union High School): The nation’s No. 34 edge rusher by the 247Sports Composite and No. 38 overall recruit in California ... had a team-best 5.5 sacks his senior year ... recorded 15 sacks as a sophomore with 13 quarterback hurries, four pass breakups, a forced fumble and fumble recovery ... also played baseball and basketball ... averaged 21 points and seven rebounds on the hardwood. 
• Jonah Martinez (CB, 6-0, 180, Mission Hills, Calif.; Bishop Alemany High School; Long Beach CC): A first-team all-conference selection for Long Beach City College in 2024. 
• Kelton Mickell (DL, 6-2, 300; Ellisville, Miss.; Petal High School; Jones College): The nation’s No. 4 overall player in the 247Sports Composite JUCO ... rated the No. 4 defensive lineman and No. 3 recruit in Mississippi ... totaled 32 stops with 4.0 for loss, a sack and forced fumble in the 2024 season ... First-Team All-Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference in 2023 ... recorded 34 tackles with three for loss and a sack ... added a blocked kick. 
• Mason Peterson (TE, 6-4, 225, Dickinson, Texas; Dickinson High School): Rated by 247Sports as the nation’s No. 48 tight end and the No. 150 prospect in Texas ... three-star recruit ... First-Team All-District 24-6A at tight end while also receiving all-district honors in basketball ... had 23 receptions for 481 yards and four touchdowns as a senior ... totaled 25 catches, 311 yards and three scores his junior year.
• Kilian Registe (OL, 6-6, 300, Keller, Texas; Keller High School): The nation’s No. 43 offensive tackle and No. 68 overall recruit in Texas ... three-star prospect ... selected to be on the final ballot for the 2024 Whataburger Super Team ... primarily played right tackle his junior year ... was also a goalkeeper in soccer. 
• Adam Schobel (QB, 6-5, 200, Columbus, Texas; Columbus High School): Four-star recruit ... the nation’s No. 16 quarterback and No. 32 overall player in Texas by 247Sports ... entered his senior year with 7,668 yards passing with 94 touchdowns and just eight interceptions ... led Columbus to a 12-1 record and a Texas 3A Division I third-round playoff appearance as a junior .... threw for 2,405 yards, 30 touchdowns and just four picks ... had a 72.3 completion percentage as a sophomore ... the District 12-3A Division I Newcomer of the Year as a freshman when he passed for 2,440 yards and 28 touchdowns while completing 68 percent of his attempts ... also ran track, competing in the 200 meters ... his father, Matt Schobel, was a TCU tight end while uncle Aaron Schobel was a defensive end for the Horned Frogs ... both played in the NFL ... cousin of fellow TCU signee John Schobel. 
• John Schobel (Edge, 6-5, 225, Columbus, Texas; Columbus High School): Rated by 247Sports as the nation’s No. 54 edge rusher and No. 93 overall player in Texas ... three-star recruit ... Texas District 12-3A Division I Defensive Most Valuable Player as a junior and sophomore ... also competed in track and field ... ran a 24.90 in the 200 meters as a sophomore and posted a 107-5 in the discus in Spring 2023 ... his father, Aaron Schobel, was a defensive end at TCU (1997-00) and a nine-year member (2001-09) of the Buffalo Bills ... uncle Matt Schobel also played at TCU and in the NFL ... cousin of fellow TCU signee Adam Schobel. 
• Logan Schram (OL, 6-6, 320, Boerne, Texas; Boerne High School): The nation’s No. 29 interior offensive lineman and No. 55 prospect in Texas ... three-star recruit ... played left tackle as a junior for a Boerne team that went 10-2 and reached the Texas 4A Division I second round of the playoffs ... was also at left tackle as a sophomore as Boerne was the state runner-up ... played on varsity as a tight end his freshman season. 
• Terry Shelton (WR, 6-4, 205, Carrollton, Texas; Ranchview High School): Four-star recruit ... the nation’s No. 12 wide receiver and No. 16 overall player in Texas by 247Sports ... totaled 105 receptions for 1,720 yards and 27 touchdowns his final three years at Ranchview ... recorded 57 receptions for 950 yards and 15 touchdowns as a senior ... had 32 catches for 629 yards and 8 TDs as a junior ... caught 16 balls for 141 yards and four touchdowns his sophomore year ... also played basketball and ran track ... a two-time First-Team District 11-4A selection in basketball ... reached 1,000 career points and 800 rebounds during his junior season on the court ... competed for Triumph Basketball on the Under Armour club circuit ... ran a 23.00 in the 200 meters and a 53.38 in the 400 as a junior.  
• Julius Simms (S, 6-2, 195, Whitehouse, Texas; Whitehouse High School): Three-star recruit ... the nation’s No. 98 safety and No. 180 overall player in Texas by the 247Sports Composite ... two-time first-team all-district ... totaled 56 tackles with three for loss, a sack, interception, forced fumble and blocked punt as a junior ... recorded 59 stops and a pick as a sophomore ... also ran track with a 23.90 time in the 200 meters while additionally competing in the 4x100 and 4x200 relays. 
• Ed Small (WR, 6-0, 205, Austin, Texas; Anderson High School): Four-star signee and the nation’s No. 44 wide receiver by 247Sports ... also the No. 47 prospect in Texas ... First-Team All-Central Texas by the Austin American-Statesman as a junior and sophomore ... caught 77 passes for 1,122 yards and 19 touchdowns in 10 games his junior year ... had 50 receptions for 1,164 yards and 15 touchdowns as a sophomore ... originally committed to Texas to play baseball, before deciding to pursue football ... also ran track for Anderson. 
• Micah Strickland (CB, 6-1, 185, Brownsboro, Texas; Brownsboro High School): Four-star prospect rated the No. 27 cornerback in the nation by the 247Sports Composite ... also the No. 36 overall recruit in Texas by 247Sports ... a top 300 prospect nationally ... first-team all-district ... saw action at cornerback, safety, running back and on special teams for Brownsboro ... also played basketball and ran track ... posted a 10.89 in the 100 meters and 22.26 in the 200 ... also had a 20-8 long jump and 45-2.5 triple jump. 
• Witten Van Hoy (OL, 6-6, 300, Benton, La.; Benton High School): The No. 59 offensive tackle in the nation by the 247Sports Composite ... three-star recruit and the No. 26 overall player in Louisiana by 247Sports ... selected to the U.S. Army Bowl ... the 2024 Shreveport-Bossier City Advocate Preseason Player of the Year ... competed in the shot put and discus for the Benton track and field team.
•  Brody Whatley (DL, 6-2, 260, Monroe, La.; Neville High School): Three-star recruit and the nation’s No. 156 defensive lineman in the 247Sports Composite ... also the No. 41 overall player in Louisiana ... First-Team Louisiana 4A All-State by the Louisiana Sportswriters Association and the Louisiana Football Coaches Association as a junior ... also the District 2-4A Defensive Most Valuable Player.
• Anthony Williams (ILB, 6-3, 200, Pearland, Texas; Shadow Creek High School): The No. 80 linebacker in the nation and No. 116 overall recruit in the 247Sports Composite rankings ... three-star prospect ... recorded 21 tackles with four for loss and a pass breakup as a senior ... had four TFLs, including a sack, as part of 30 tackles to go with an interception, forced fumble and fumble recovery his junior year ... the District 23-6A Defensive Newcomer of the Year as a sophomore when he totaled eight tackles for loss among 26 stops with a forced fumble and pass breakup. 
• Chad Woodfork (Edge, 6-4, 225, Humble, Texas; Summer Creek High School): The nation’s No. 8 edge rusher by the 247Sports Composite ... also the No. 21 overall player in Texas and No. 106 in the country ... four-star recruit ... totaled 33 tackles, including nine for loss, with three sacks, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery as a junior ... recorded four stops for a loss with three sacks as part of 23 tackles as a defensive end his sophomore year ... helped lead Summer Creek to an 8-5 record and a 6A Division II third-round playoff appearance.
