No. 3 TCU women’s soccer beat No. 4 West Virginia, 1-0, in Fort Worth, Texas, on Friday night, November 6, to win the program’s first-ever Big 12 Conference championship.
Grace Collins scored the Frogs’ winning goal in the 51st minute of the game. Collins scored the last three goals for the Horned Frogs. All three stood up as game-winners.
TCU goalkeeper Emily Alvarado made three saves in the game. She recorded her seventh shutout of the season.
The Frogs finished their season 8-0-1, their first-ever undefeated run through a conference schedule. The victory over West Virginia improved TCU’s record to 3-0 against Top-10 opponents this season.
