The TCU women's basketball team followed up its first-ever Big 12 regular-season championship with its first-ever Big 12 tournament championship on Sunday, March 9.
The Frogs won the tournament with a 64-59 victory over Baylor, whom TCU beat in the two teams' last regular-season game to win the regular-season championship. In fact, this season, the Frogs beat Baylor three straight games.
In the tournament, TCU also beat Colorado, in the quarterfinals, and West Virginia, in the semifinals.
The Frogs will head into the NCAA Tournament with a 31-3 overall record. This will be TCU's first appearance in the national tournament since 2009-10.
TCU, which ended the Big 12 regular season with a 16-2 conference record, will learn its tournament seeding and opening-round opponent on Sunday, March 16. The Frogs will open the NCAA Tournament on its home court of Schollmaier Arena.
TCU's Hailey Van Lith was named the Big 12 Tournament's Most Outstanding Player. Van Lith and TCU's Sedona Prince were named to the Big 12 All-Tournament team.
