TCU Women's Basketball Hosts 2025 NCAA Tournament Games as a No 2 Seed

The NCAA Tournament is headed to Schollmaier Arena for the first time in school history.
 
The TCU women's basketball team received a No. 2 seed in the NCAA Division 1 Women's Basketball Championship and will host first- and second-round games on Friday, March 21, and Sunday, March 23.
 
TCU faces No. 15 seed Fairleigh Dickinson on Friday, at 2:30 pm (Central) in the round of 64. Joining the Horned Frogs and Knights in the Fort Worth Regional are No. 7 seed Louisville and No. 10 seed Nebraska, who also square off at Schollmaier Arena on Friday. The winners of the two games meet on Sunday.
 
The Horned Frogs garnered their 10th all-time NCAA Tournament berth and first since 2010. TCU partook in the Big Dance annually from 2001-07 and tacked on an additional appearance to its postseason resume in 2009.
 
TCU has advanced to the round of 32 on five occasions, most recently in 2006. The Frogs are 5-9 all-time in the event.
 
The national seed enhances the greatest comeback story in college basketball. TCU is one of just two programs in the 68-team field that earned a tournament berth within two seasons of finishing in last place in its conference. The Horned Frogs (31-3, 16-2 Big 12) lead all Power Four conference participants in both overall and conference year-over win improvement. TCU is also the lone team at the Power Four level to win an outright regular season conference championship and claim its conference tournament title.
 
TCU enters March Madness tied with No. 4 overall seed Texas for the second-most wins of any team in America. The Horned Frogs hold eight victories over ranked teams and are 10-3 vs. tournament teams. TCU has won 10 straight games ahead of its first round matchup in Schollmaier Arena, a venue the Frogs are a perfect 19-0 inside. 
 
Big 12 Coach of the Year Mark Campbell is in the tournament for the second time in four seasons as a head coach. Campbell led Sacramento State to a sweep of the Big Sky Conference regular season and tournament championships and a No. 13 seed in the Big Dance in 2023. One of 10 finalists for the Naismith Coach of the Year award, Campbell is the only participating head coach who has twice led a team to a conference championship and NCAA Tournament berth within two years of his or her hire.
 
Though 15 years have passed since TCU dusted off its dancing shoes, the Frogs' roster is not lacking in tournament experience. Eight members of TCU's roster have appeared in a combined 58 NCAA Tournament games: Hailey Van Lith (17); Agnes Emma-Nnopu (13); Madison Conner (10) Taylor Bogby (6); Donovyn Hunter (4); Sedona Prince (4); Maddie Scherr (3);  and Natalie Mazurek (1). The eight players hold a combined 44-18 (.709) NCAA Tournament record.
 
The Big 12 placed seven teams in the field. Baylor was awarded hosting rights for the opening rounds as a No. 4 seed. Kansas State was placed on the 5-seed line while West Virginia garnered a No. 6 seed. Rounding out the conference contingent are No. 7 seed Oklahoma State, No. 8 seed Utah and No. 11 seed Iowa State.
