TCU Football Signs Nine Players On Early-Signing Day for 2022 Recruiting Class


New TCU head football coach Sonny Dykes and his staff signed nine senior high school football players to national letters of intent on Wednesday, December 15, which was the national early-signing day for the 2022 recruiting class.

Wednesday, February 2, 2022, is the regular national signing date for the 2022 recruiting class.

Here are highlights about the new Horned Frogs:

Chace Biddle (safety, 6-0, 190, Garland, Texas; Garland High School): Four-star recruit … rated by 247Sports as the No. 11 safety in the nation, No. 29 overall player in Texas and No. 160 in the country … ranked by ESPN as the sixth-best safety in the nation … invited to the Under Armour All-America Game and the Polynesian Bowl … helped Garland to a 10-1 record and a Texas 6A Division II playoff appearance … totaled 100 tackles, including seven for loss, with five interceptions and nine pass breakups in his prep career … recorded 33 tackles as a senior with six for loss along with three interceptions and three pass breakups … also ran track with a 10.70 time in the 100 as a sophomore and a 22.12 in the 200 as a freshman. Kyron Chambers (cornerback, 6-0, 195, Dallas, Texas; South Oak Cliff High School): Ranked by 247Sports as the No. 43 cornerback in the country and No. 65 overall recruit in Texas … rated the fourth-best cornerback and the 46th-best overall player in the Dallas area in the Class of 2022 … three-star recruit … helped South Oak Cliff reach the 2021 5A Division II state championship game … Texas District 6-5A Division II first-team selection at cornerback as a junior. Major Everhart (running back, 5-11, 170, Amarillo, Texas; Tascosa HS): Three-star recruit … rated by 247Sports as the No. 37 running back in the nation and No. 59 overall player in Texas … rushed for 1,647 yards and 15 touchdowns as a senior while adding four receptions for 154 yards and two touchdowns … Texas 2-5A Division I First-Team All-District as a sophomore and junior … also a track and field standout … placed fifth in the 200 meters and sixth in the 100 as a junior at the 2021 5A state meet … ran a 10.38 in the 100 and 21.42 in the 200. Quinton Harris (OT, 6-8, 290, Arlington, Texas; Seguin HS): Three-star recruit … 247Sports ranked him the No. 146 offensive tackle in the nation and No. 193 recruit in the state of Texas … received second-team all-district honors as a senior … helped Seguin total 2,881 yards rushing and 1,291 passing on the season … also lettered in basketball, including posting a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds in a win over Bowie his senior year. Josh Hoover (quarterback, 6-1, 206, Rockwall, Texas; Rockwall-Heath HS): Rated by 247Sports as the No. 33 quarterback in the nation, No. 72 overall player in Texas and No. 539 in the country … three-star recruit … named the 2021 (Tom) Landry Award winner, an honor given to the top high school football player from North Texas presented by CBS 11 and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes … concluded his prep career with 9,953 yards passing and 108 touchdowns with a 60.7 completion percentage (609-of-1,004) … added five rushing touchdowns … completed 63.7 percent (191-of-300) of his passes for 3,252 yards and 40 touchdowns as a senior … District 10-6A Offensive Most Valuable Player as a junior … first-team all-district as a sophomore … also lettered in baseball … his father, Alex Hoover, was a linebacker at Colorado State and in the NFL.
