- TCU and Kansas State are playing for the 15th time in their history. The series is tied, 7-7.
- TCU has lost two consecutive games to Kansas State: 24-17, in 2019; and 21-14, in 2020.
- Since beginning Big 12 play in 2012, TCU has won four of its nine meetings with Kansas State. The Horned Frogs are 2-2 in Manhattan, and 2-3 in Fort Worth.
- TCU has won two of the past four and four of the past seven games against the Wildcats.

TCU Missing in Action News: In the West Virginia game, starting offensive right guard Wes Harris returned to the lineup after being sidelined the previous three games due to injury. Among the Frogs who missed the West Virginia game because of injuries were safety Deshawn McCuin, wide receiver JD Spielman and safety Bud Clark. Cornerback Noah Daniels has been dealing with an injury. He may play more in the Kansas State game. Spielman has decided to retire from football because of injuries. TCU wide receiver TJ Steele has entered the transfer portal.

- This Saturday, October 30, TCU is on the road for the third time in four games, playing Kansas State in Manhattan, Kansas.
- The Horned Frogs began the season with four straight home games, for the second time in program history.
- For the third away game in a row (Texas Tech, Oklahoma and Kansas State), TCU is playing a Big 12 foe during the school’s Homecoming weekend.
- Over the last seven seasons, TCU has the Big 12's third-best conference record (39-28) and overall mark (61-34).
- TCU is one of seven programs nationally to finish with an Associated Press Top-10 final ranking in at least three of the last seven seasons (2014, 2015, 2017). The others are Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, Ohio State, Oklahoma and Penn State.
- TCU is 47-21 in regular-season games following a loss under Patterson.
- TCU is tied for the national lead in red-zone efficiency at 100 percent. TCU has scored on all 25 red zone possessions, including 18 touchdowns. The Horned Frogs are one of three teams at 100 percent, but have the most opportunities (25).
- TCU running back Zach Evans this season has become the first Horned Frog since 2002 with four consecutive 100-yard rushing games.
- Running back Kendre Miller and Evans rank second and third nationally in career yards per carry, 7.33 yards and 7.28 yards, respectively, among active players.
- With his scoring
runs of 33, 75 and 45 yards at Texas Tech, Kendre Miller is the only
player nationally this season to have three touchdown carries of at least
33 yards in the same game. Miller is one of seven players to accomplish
the feat since 2018 and the first since Buffalo’s Jaret Patterson against
Kent State last season.
- Since 2009, TCU is sixth nationally with 45 road wins. The Horned Frogs are 45-21 (.682) in that stretch.
- TCU's 53-27 record (.663) in road and neutral-site games since 2009 is seventh-best nationally.
- TCU's 35-20 mark (.636) in conference road games since 2009 is tied for 12th-best in the FBS.
- TCU is 23-20 on the road in its Big 12 history.
- After allowing no sacks in the two previous games, against Oklahoma and Texas Tech, TCU’s offensive line allowed West Virginia to sack TCU quarterback Max Duggan twice in the October 23 game.
- The Frogs (3-4, 1-3 Big 12) have lost four of their last five games. They’ve allowed at least 200 yards rushing in each of those five games.
- Against West Virginia, Derius Davis returned the game's opening kickoff 100 yards for a touchdown. It was his fourth career special team’s touchdown. His three career punt returns for touchdowns are tied for second in program history. It was the first time TCU returned the game's opening kickoff for a touchdown since at least 1996. It was TCU's first kickoff return for a touchdown since KaVontae Turpin went 99 yards against Oklahoma in 2018. Davis’ 100-yard kickoff return is tied for second-longest in TCU history (105 yards, Charles Casper versus Texas, 1933) and was the Horned Frogs' longest since B.J. Catalon went 100 yards against LSU in 2013.
- Against West Virginia, Duggan passed for 244 yards on 16-of-26 attempts to give him 5,465 passing yards in his career, moving him past Casey Pachell (5,415, 2010-13) into fifth place in TCU history.
- Wide receiver Quentin Johnston in the West Virginia game had five receptions for 113 yards to top the 100-yard mark for the second straight game and fourth time in his career.
- Against West Virginia, TCU scored for the 362nd consecutive game. It's the nation's second-longest current streak and moves past BYU (361, 1975-2003) for third-longest in NCAA history. The Horned Frogs haven't been blanked since Nov. 16, 1991, at Texas (32-0).
- A sack in the West Virginia game by defensive tackle Corey Bethley gave TCU at least one sack in 92 of its last 98 games. It was Bethley's first sack of the season. He has 10.5 sacks in his career, second-most among current Horned Frogs. Defensive end Ochaun Mathis has 14.5 career sacks.
- The West Virginia game was TCU’s first conference home night game since a 31-24 victory over Oklahoma State in the 2018 regular-season finale.
- TCU's captains for the West Virginia game were Emari Demercado, Max Duggan, Mathis and Dee Winters. Duggan, Mathis and Winters have been captains in each game this season. TCU's honorary captain from the TCU Block T Association for the West Virginia game was Mike Flynn, an offensive lineman (#69) whose senior year was 1984 when the Jim Wacker-coached team achieved an 8-3 record as a member of the Southwest Conference (SWC).
- Receiver Taye Barber’s five-yard second-quarter touchdown catch against the Mountaineers was his second receiving touchdown of the season and sixth of his career, trailing only Johnston (seven) among current Horned Frogs.
- Against West Virginia, safety Michael Onyemaobi (#4), a fifth-year senior, made the first start in his career and made a career-high five tackles.
- In the West Virginia game, Mathis blocked a 38-yard field goal attempt by Mountaineers’ kicker Casey Legg. It was TCU's first block of a field goal since current TCU graduate assistant Chris Bradley blocked a field-goal attempt versus SMU in 2017.
- Kicker Griffin Kell’s 24-yard field goal in the West Virginia game made him eight-of-10 on the season and 23-of-31 in his career. Kell has made his last seven field-goal attempts.
- Allowing 451.1 total yards per game, TCU is ranked 119th in total defense in the country.
- TCU has had the No. 1-ranked defense in the country five times in the past 20 years.
- Averaging 450.4 total yards per game, TCU is ranked 28th in total offense in the country.
- In the Big 12, TCU is tied for fourth in scoring offense, scoring an average of 34.3 points per game.
- In the Big 12, TCU is ninth in coring defense, allowing an average of 31.6 points per game.
- TCU is third in the Big 12 in rushing offense, averaging 216.3 rushing yards per game.

quarterback Max Duggan missed the majority of the 2020 preseason camp due
to surgery to correct Wolff-Parkinson-White (WPW) syndrome, a heart
condition he was born with.
- TCU has had at least one player selected to play in the Senior Bowl every year since 2015.
- It has been four years since TCU finished a season ranked in the Top 25. It’s the longest rankings drought of any point in Patterson’s 21 years as the Horned Frogs head coach.
- Patterson is TCU's overall winningest head football coach. Patterson's TCU head coaching record is 181-78.
- Patterson’s 181 victories are the most by an active head coach nationally at his current school. His winning percentage ranks fourth among active FBS coaches (minimum 10 years).
- Patterson is tied for second nationally among active FBS head coaches in most AP Top-10 finishes with six (2008, 2009, 2010, 2014, 2015, 2017). He's also second among active head coaches in most top-25 finishes with 11.
- Under Patterson, TCU has won six conference championships, in three different leagues -- Conference USA (2002), the Mountain West (2005, 2009, 2010, 2011) and the Big 12 Conference (2014). Patterson also has been named Coach of the Year in each of those conferences.
- The Horned Frogs have won at least 10 games in 11 seasons under Patterson. Prior to his arrival on campus in 1998, TCU had four 10-win seasons in its history.
- During his TCU tenure, including three seasons as defensive coordinator (1998-00), Patterson has seen TCU earn 20 bowl trips. TCU is 13-6 in bowl games with Patterson on its coaching staff and 11-6 with him as head coach. Before the Patterson era, the Horned Frogs had only four bowl wins in their history.
