The Line for the TCU-Oklahoma State Game: Oklahoma State opened as a two-point favorite, moved to a 2.5-point favorite, then fell back to a one-point favorite over the Frogs. The over-under for total points in the game opened at 52.5 points, dropped to 51 points, then increased to 51.5 points.

2020 Fan Experience for TCU Football at Amon G. Carter Stadium: To provide the safest environment for fans to enjoy TCU football this fall during the COVID-19 pandemic:

  • Tailgating is prohibited in all Frog Club lots and spaces. Lots open three hours prior to kick off and close following the game.
  • Frog Alley has been moved to Stadium Drive.
  • Amon G. Carter Stadium gates open two hours prior to kick off.
  • TCU has transitioned to mobile-only ticketing for the 2020 football season. This shift provides a safer, contactless ticketing environment. Fans will receive their tickets via email, allowing them to download tickets into their Apple Wallet (iPhone) or Google Pay Wallet (Android). Prior to reaching the gates, ticket holders open their digital wallet, select the game tickets and hold their phone near the ticket scanner.
  • All fans have their temperature taken and complete a brief health screening questionnaire (acknowledge that you are symptom free) prior to entering Amon G. Carter Stadium and Frog Alley. Gate and temperature check locations: here
  • Face Coverings (over the nose and mouth) are required to be worn by everyone outside and within the stadium. Tarrant County has a face mask mandate in order through the end of the year.
  • A refusal to comply with the 2020 TCU Football health and safety guidelines may result in removal from the stadium and/or loss of ticket privileges to future home games.
  • No guest service carts or shuttles.
  • The suggested entrance gate near your seat is noted on your mobile ticket.
  • Social distancing markers are in place at gates, concessions and restrooms. 
  • Hand sanitation stations are throughout the stadium.
  • Elevators operate under state mandates of no more than four passengers and an operator.
  • There are cashless concessions and merchandise transactions.
  • Concession items predominately are prepackaged and sealed, with limited selections.
  • Beer is served in sealed containers.
  • There is no in-seat concession hawking.
  • Concession locations vary based on crowd size.
  • All premium buffets are staff-served. 
  • Tables in common areas and premium clubs are spaced appropriately.
  • Multiple clean teams continually clean common areas. 
  • Employees are screened prior to entering the facility and are required to wear a face covering.

TCU's Previous Game: On Saturday, November 28, in Lawrence, Kansas, TCU blasted the Jayhawks, 59-23.

Previously, TCU had: lost, 37-34, to Iowa State, in Fort Worth; beaten Texas, 33-31, in Austin, Texas; lost, 21-14, to Kansas State, in Fort Worth; lost to Oklahoma, 33-14, in Fort Worth; beaten Baylor, 33-23, in Waco, Texas; beaten Texas Tech, 34-18, in Fort Worth; and lost to West Virginia, 24-6, in Morgantown, West Virginia.

Oklahoma State's Previous Game: On Saturday, November 28, in Stillwater, Oklahoma, the Cowboys held off Texas Tech, 50-44. Oklahoma State redshirt junior running back Dezmon Jackson rushed for 235 yards and three touchdowns.

Previously, Oklahoma State had beaten: Tulsa, 16-7; West Virginia, 27-13; Kansas 47-7; Iowa State, 24-21; and Kansas State, 20-18.

The Cowboys have been beaten by: Texas, 41-34 (OT); and Oklahoma, 41-13.

Previous TCU-Oklahoma State Game: Last year, in Stillwater, Oklahoma, TCU, in its eighth game of the season, was beaten, 34-27, by the Cowboys. Oklahoma State had 301 yards rushing in the victory. Running back Chuba Hubbard became the first to rush for 200 yards (223 yards on 20 carries) against a Patterson defense.

TCU-Oklahoma State Rivalry:  

  • Oklahoma State holds a 16-12-2 edge in the all-time series with TCU. 
  • TCU is 7-5-2 versus Oklahoma State in Fort Worth, 4-9 in Stillwater, 1-1 in a pair of meetings (1943, 1946) in Oklahoma City and 0-1 in Dallas (1945 Cotton Bowl).
  • TCU head coach Gary Patterson is 3-5 as a head coach versus Oklahoma State with all eight meetings since TCU joined the Big 12 in 2012.
  • TCU won two straight against Oklahoma State in the 2017 and 2018 season, and three straight from 1990-92.

 TCU-Oklahoma State Connections:

  • The game will feature the all-time winningest coaches at both schools: TCU’s Gary Patterson (176 victories) and Oklahoma State’s Mike Gundy (135 victories).
  • TCU defensive coordinator and linebackers coach Chad Glasgow was a three-year letterman (1991-93) at linebacker for Oklahoma State. He was also a graduate assistant (1994-95) under former Oklahoma State head coach Bob Simmons.
  • Oklahoma State associate head coach/offensive coordinator/receivers coach Kasey Dunn was TCU's cornerbacks coach in 2003.
  • Oklahoma State has 40 players from Texas on its roster, including two from Fort Worth: Tylan Wallace (#2), South Hills; and Shaun Taylor (#18), All Saints Episcopal. Tylan's twin brother, Tracin, came with him to OSU as a quarterback. He was forced to retire from football because of multiple injuries. He is a student assistant on the team.
  • TCU has three players on its roster from Oklahoma: freshman quarterback Eli Williams (#16) of Sapulpa; redshirt freshman linebacker Zach Marcheselli (#34) of Broken Arrow; and freshman wide receiver Blake Nowell (#87) of Ardmore.

TCU Notables: 

  • TCU's game against Kansas last Saturday was Gary Patterson's 250th as head coach of the Horned Frogs.
  • Patterson's record at TCU is 176-74. 
  • Patterson is the second-longest tenured coach at his current school in the FBS, trailing only Kirk Ferentz at the University of Iowa.
  • TCU rushed for a season-high 337 yards on 41 carries against Kansas.
  • Highly touted and true freshman running back Zach Evans made his first career start against Kansas. He ran impressively, accumulating 100 yards on 12 carries. It was the first 100-yard rushing game of his collegiate career. He had a long run of 28 yards against the Jayhawks.
  • Redshirt freshman running back Darwin Barlow had 83 yards and one touchdown on eight carries in the Kansas game. He had a long run of 36 yards.
  • Against the Jayhawks, true freshman running back Kendre Miller had 53 yards on 11 carries. He had a long run of 12 yards.
  • Junior running back Emari Demercado ran six times for 33 yards against KU. He had a long run of 22 yards.
  • In leading TCU to its fourth victory of the season, sophomore quarterback Max Duggan ran three times for 61 yards, including an explosive 58-yarder for a touchdown in the second quarter.
  • Duggan's touchdown run was his team-best seventh rushing score of the season. It also was TCU's third-longest run and fourth-longest play from scrimmage in 2020.  
  • TCU improved to 4-0 when rushing for at least 200 yards this season. The Frogs are 99-8 when reaching that mark in the Patterson era.
  • Duggan threw 11 passes in the Kansas game. He completed only three of them, for 96 yards. But all three were for touchdowns. And all three were caught by wide-open tight ends.
  • Junior tight end Pro Wells caught two of the touchdown passes, of 46 yards and 24 yards.
  • Wells equaled a career high with his two touchdown catches. He also accomplished the feat last season against SMU.
  • Wells' touchdown catches gave him a team-best three this season and eight in his career, the most among current Horned Frogs.
  • Junior tight end Carter Ware caught a 26-yard touchdown pass, his first career scoring grab.
  • Duggan tied a career high with the three touchdown passes.
  • Against Kansas, junior wide receiver Derius Davis had a 37-yard punt return for a touchdown. Davis has two punt returns for touchdowns this season and a total of three touchdowns on 11 career returns.
  • Davis’ three punt returns for touchdowns ties him with Linzy Cole (1968-69) and Blanard Spearman (1930-32) for second in TCU history, trailing only KaVontae Turpin, who had four (2015-18).
  • Against Kansas, sophomore cornerback C.J. Ceasar II, returned his first career interception 30 yards for a touchdown. It was TCU's first pick-6 since Vernon Scott returned an interception for a touchdown against Oklahoma last season.
  • Sophomore defensive end Ochaun Mathis forced a Kansas fumble that was scooped by sophomore linebacker Dee Winters and returned two yards for a touchdown.
  • In addition to his forced fumble, Mathis had two sacks, to give him a team-best seven on the season.
  • In addition to his fumble return for a touchdown, Winters had a career-best 3.5 tackles for loss, including a sack, as part of five stops.
  • Against Kansas, senior linebacker Garret Wallow had a team-best 10 tackles, including one for loss, to put him in double figures for the fourth time in the last six games and 14th time in his career.
  • Sophomore safety Nook Bradford made his first collegiate start and had a team-best and career-high 3.5 tackles for loss as part of eight stops. 
  • True freshman defensive end Khari Coleman had two tackles for loss, including a sack. He has at least one tackle for loss in six of his seven games this season. 
  • Coleman has been named to the FWAA Freshman All-American Watch List. Coleman's team-best 11.5 tackles for loss top all freshmen nationally. It ranks tied for 15th in the FBS. He's also second on TCU with three sacks as part of 23 stops on the year.
  • Griffin Kell began TCU’s scoring onslaught against the Jayhawks with a 39-yard field goal less than five minutes into the game. He is 11-of-15 on the season.
  • TCU is seventh in the Big 12 in scoring offense, averaging 28.4 points a game.
  • The Frogs are seventh in the conference in total offense, averaging 389.4 yards per game.
  • The Frogs rank first in rushing offense in the Big 12, averaging 197.3 yards per game.
  • The Horned Frogs are eighth in the Big 12 in passing offense, averaging 192.1 yards per game.
  • TCU is fifth in the Big 12 in scoring defense, allowing an average of 26.3 points a game.
  • The Frogs are fourth in the conference in total offense defense, allowing an average of 355.9 yards a game.
  • The Horned Frogs are fifth in the Big 12 in rushing defense, allowing an average of 134.4 yards per game.
  • TCU is fourth in the conference in passing defense, allowing an average of 221.5 yards per game.
  • Duggan ranks eighth in the conference in rushing, averaging 51.1 yards per game.
  • Barlow ranks 13th in the Big 12 in rushing, averaging 48.4 yards per game.
  • Duggan is ninth in the Big 12 in passing, averaging 129.1 yards per game. Only the quarterbacks at Kansas State and Kansas rank below Duggan.
  • Wide receiver Taye Barber ranks 19th in the conference in receiving, averaging 40 yards per game.
  • Davis ranks second in the Big 12 in punt returns, averaging 23.4 yards per return.
  • Savion Williams is sixth in the conference in kickoff returns, averaging 22.3 yards per return.
  • Jordy Sandy ranks sixth in the Big 12 in punting, averaging 40.6 yards per punt.
  • Kell is tied for the third-most field goals (11) in the Big 12.
  • Wallow is fourth in the conference in tackles, averaging 8.3 per conference game. He has two sacks.
  • Winters ranks 24th in the Big 12 with an average of 6.1 tackles per game, and 18th in tackles for loss.
  • Coleman ranks second in the conference with an average of 1.64 tackles for loss in Big 12 games. 
  • Mathis ranks third in the Big 12 with an average of 1.38 tackles for loss in conference games.
  • Bradford ranks 25th for tackles for loss in conference games.
Frogs Missing in Action: TCU junior offensive lineman Quazzel White has entered the transfer portal. He’s the sixth Horned Frog to enter the portal this season, joining Al’Dontre Davis, Dylan Thomas, Tony Wallace, Tevailance Hunt and Eli Williams. White opened the 2020 season as TCU’s starting right guard. He suffered an injury against Kansas State and hasn’t played since.

Oklahoma State Notables

  • Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy was named became the team's 22nd head coach beginning with the 2005 season.
  • When Gundy took over, the OSU football program had an all-time record of 473-492-47 (49.1 pct.). Gundy has 135 victories at Oklahoma State. 
  • On October 29, 2016, Gundy recorded his 100th victory as the Cowboys' head coach. Gundy is the only Oklahoma State football coach to record 100 victories.
  • Gundy is one of three head football coaches at Oklahoma State to have played for Oklahoma State, along with Jim Lookabaugh and Floyd Gass. Gundy played at Oklahoma Lite from 1990 to 1993. He was a wide receiver, then a record-setting quarterback.

  • On December 3, 2011, the Cowboys won their first Big-12 Championship with a 44-10 victory over Oklahoma. The third-ranked Cowboys beat fourth-ranked Stanford in overtime, 41-38, on January 2, 2012, in the Fiesta Bowl. 
  • In the Big 12, Oklahoma State ranks sixth in total offense, averaging 406.4 yards per game.
  • The Cowboys' rushing offense ranks third, averaging 192.3 yards per game.
  • OSU's passing offense ranks seventh in the Big 12, with an average of 214.1 yards per game.
  • Oklahoma State's offense has accumulated 3,251 yards; 1,538 on the ground and 1,713 through the air. The 'Pokes have scored 12 rushing touchdowns and 10 passing touchdowns.
  • The Cowboys are sixth in the conference in scoring offense, averaging 28.9 points per game.
  • Defensively, OSU is allowing a total of 355.9 yards per Big 12 game, which is sixth in the conference. 
  • The Cowboys are allowing an average of 162.4 rushing yards per game, which is seventh in the conference.
  • Oklahoma State is allowing 212.6 yards per game through the air, which is third in the conference.
  • The Cowboys' defense is limiting Big 12 opponents to 24 points per game, which is fourth in the conference.
  • Redshirt sophomore Spencer Sanders (#3) is Oklahoma State's quarterback. He ranks seventh in the Big 12, completing 92 of 143 passes for 1,085 yards. He has thrown six touchdown passes and five interceptions.
  • On the ground, the Cowboys are led by redshirt junior running back Chubba Hubbard (#30). On 133 carries, he has rushed for 625 yards, which ranks third in the Big 12. He has rushed for five touchdowns. He has a long run of 32 yards. Hubbard led the nation last season with 2,094 yards and finished eighth in the Heisman Trophy balloting. For his career, he has rushed for 3,459 yards, which is the eighth most in OSU history.
  • Because of a leg injury, Hubbard missed Oklahoma's last game, which was a win over Texas Tech.
  • Redshirt senior running back L.D. Brown (#0) is 11th in the Big 12, with 395 rushing yards on 70 carries. He has one touchdown run and a long run of 66 yards.
  • Redshirt junior running back Dezmon Jackson (#27) is 14th in the conference. He has rushed for 370 yards on 54 carries. He has rushed for three touchdowns. He has a long run of 34 yards. 
  • Oklahoma State's leading receiver is senior wide receiver Tylan Wallace (#2), of Fort Worth South Hills. He leads the Big 12 with 46 catches for 785 yards. He averages 17.1 yards per catch and 98.1 receiving yards per game. He has caught five touchdown passes. He has a long reception of 55 yards. 
  • Redshirt senior wide receiver Dillon Stoner (#17) has caught 26 passes for 230 yards. he has not caught a touchdown pass. His long reception was for 28 yards.
  • Redshirt junior wide receiver Braydon Johnson (#8) has caught 17 passes for 209 yards and one touchdown. His long reception was for 66 yards.
  • Redshirt senior wide receiver Landon Wolf (#1) has caught 15 passes for 120 yards. He has one touchdown reception and a long catch of 25 yards.
  • Oklahoma State's offense has suffered seven interceptions. It has fumbled the football 10 times, losing six. The Cowboys have allowed 22 sacks.
  • Defensively, the Cowboys are led by redshirt senior linebacker Amen Ogbongbemiga (#7). He ranks sixth in the Big 12 with 36 solo tackles and 62 total tackles. He has one sack.
  • Redshirt junior safety Tre Sterling (#3) is eighth in the Big 12 with 40 solo and 57 total tackles. He has intercepted two passes.
  • Senior linebacker Malcolm Rodriguez (#20) ranks ninth in the conference with 42 solo and 57 total tackles. He has one sack.
  • Junior safety Kolby Harvell-Peel (#31) has intercepted two passes.
  • Redshirt senior linebacker Devin Harper (#16) has intercepted one pass.
  • The Cowboys' defense has intercepted five passes, recorded 26 sacks and recovered four-of-11 fumbles by opponents.
  • Oklahoma State's punter is Tom Hutton (#26). He has punted 45 times for a per-punt average of 40.71 yards. He has a long punt of 62 yards. He has not had a punt blocked.
  • The Cowboys' punt returner is Stoner. He ranks fourth in the conference, with 13 punt returns for 92 yards. 
  • OSU has used two field-goal kickers. Redshirt sophomore Alex Hale (#19) has made 13-of-14 field goal attempts. His long field goal is of 44 yards. He has not had a kick blocked. Amon G. Carter Stadium: The 2012 season marked the opening of TCU's Amon G. Carter Stadium after a $164 million renovation completely funded through donor support. The six new Founders Club suites, located at midfield on the concourse level, were sold at $15 million each to provide lead gifts totaling $90 million. On the west side of the stadium, there are 25 suites, all of which are sold. 

2020 marks the introduction of the $100-million Amon G. Carter Stadium premium seating expansion. The project added two new levels of luxury seating above the existing upper deck on the east side of the stadium. The new Legends Club and Suites include 48 loge boxes with two private clubs, over 1,000 club seats and 22 luxury suites.

Important! Security measures at TCU Athletic Events: Only the following items are permitted into TCU athletic facilities:
 

  • Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and not exceeding 14 inches by 14 inches 
  • One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar)
  • One unopened bottle of water
  • Small clutch bags, approximately the size of a hand, with or without a handle or strap can be taken into the stadium with one of the clear plastic bags.
  • Exceptions are made for medically necessary items after proper inspection at the stadium gates.
  • Backpacks, diaper bags and other similar bags are not be allowed.
     
ESPN College GameDay for December 5, 2020: ESPN GameDay will be in Conway, South Carolina, on Saturday, December 5, for Coastal Carolina's game against BYU. Coastal Carolina is a member of the Sun Belt Conference. BYU competes as an Independent in football. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:30 pm Central. The game will be broadcast by ESPNU. During the college football season, GameDay airs live on ESPN on Saturdays, from 8 to 11 am (Central). GameDay features Rece Davis, Kirk Herbstreit, Lee Corso, Desmond Howard, David Pollack and Maria Taylor.
 
TCU's Final Regular-Season Game of the 2020 Season: TCU vs Louisiana Tech, 6 pm Central, December 12, Amon G. Carter Stadium, Fort Worth, Texas. FS1 will televise the game.
