TCU Football's Bowl History

For only the third time in Patterson’s 19-year TCU head-coaching career, this year the Horned Frogs will not be closing out a season by playing in a bowl game. The other two times were after the 2004 and 2013 seasons.

TCU has advanced to 34 bowl games all-time and recorded a 17-16-1 record.

TCU's 10-7 overtime victory over Cal in the 2018 Cheez-It Bowl was TCU's 10th bowl win in the last 14 years.

The Frogs posted a four-game bowl winning streak from 2005 to 2008, a stretch that set a school record.

TCU has played in each of the current games that make up the New Year's Six bowls -- the Fiesta Bowl, Orange Bowl, Sugar Bowl, Peach bowl, Cotton Bowl and Rose Bowl. 

The Frogs have played in the Cotton Bowl six times, more than any other bowl game.
