November 29, 2019 (Black Friday), was a colorful, but breezy, cool, misty day for the TCU-West Virginia football game in Amon G. Carter Stadium, Fort Worth, Texas. It was a Black Out for the Frogs' regular-season finale and it turned out to be a dark day for the Horned Frogs. The Mountaineers won, 20-17. The Frogs finished the 2019 season with a 5-7 overall record, 3-6 in the Big 12.

The announced attendance was 40,126. Actual attendance probably was no more than half that amount. There were plenty of open seats in The Carter for the TCU-West Virginia game.

The Riff-Ram video featured the 2019 national championship TCU Rifle team. This year's title was the team's third. The team also won national championships in 2010 and 2012.

TCU honored 18 football seniors, including running back Darius Anderson (#6, photos above and below), prior to the November 29th game against West Virginia. The Seniors had an overall record of 29-23, they led the Frogs to the 2017 Big 12 Championship Game, and they won an Alamo Bowl and a Cheez-It Bowl.

The Bluebonnet Bowl in Houston was TCU's first bowl appearance since 1965. The Horned Frogs, of the Southwest Conference, were beaten, 31-14, by West Virginia, which played that season as an Independent. This year's TCU football team will be home for the holidays. For only the third time in head coach Gary Patterson's tenure with TCU, the Frogs, with a record of 5-7, did not qualify for a bowl game.
