The Golden Frog is a coveted award that can be presented to one or more tailgaters at each Midnite Madness tailgate. Todd Laska displays the award, which this year has been named the Barb Laska Golden Frog Award, in honor of his mother, who, along with his father, Tim, was a TCU fan and a beloved  member of the Midnite Madness tailgating family. Barb passed away in April after a brief illness.

At the September 13 Midnite Madness tailgate, Don Williams (right) and Ed and Gail Coble were co-winners of the 2025 season's first Barb Laska Golden Frog Award. Don was honored for his traditional first home-game three-meat meatballs and for purchasing a new generator for the tailgates. Ed and Gail were honored for being newlyweds and for hosting an elaborate wedding reception in April that was enjoyed by Midnite Madness tailgaters and other friends and family members.

  1. Thanks to all the Frog Fans for honoring Barb and Tim with renaming the Golden Frog Award in Barb’s memory. Congratulations to the well-deserved winners last weekend. Good luck for a very successful season. Go Frogs!
