TCU Football Ranked 17th in 2023 Preseason Associated Press Poll


The TCU football team is ranked 17th in the 2023 preseason Associated Press Poll. 

Georgia, who defeated the Horned Frogs, 65-7, in the 2023 College Football Playoff National Championship Game, is ranked first. 

Michigan, whom TCU defeated 51-45 in the 2023 College Football Playoff National Championship Semifinal Game in the Fiesta Bowl, is ranked second.

Ranked 11th, the University of Texas is the highest-ranked Big 12 team. This is the Longhorns' final season in the Big 12. UT, along with the Big 12's University of Oklahoma, which is ranked 20th, joins the Southeastern Conference in 2024.

Kansas State, who defeated TCU, 31-28 (OT), in the 2022 Big 12 Championship Game, is ranked 16th.

Big 12 Conference members Texas Tech, Kansas and Baylor are among a group of other schools receiving votes.
