These Frogs are on college football award watch lists for the 2019 season:

Jalen Reagor: Is on the watch lists for the Biletnikoff, Maxwell, Walter Camp,  Paul Hornung and Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Awards.

The Biletnikoff Award honors the country’s outstanding college receiver.

The Maxwell Award is presented to the best all-around college football player.

The Walter Camp Award honors college football’s player of the year.

The Paul Hornung Award recognizes the most versatile player in major college football.

The Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award recognizes the top offensive player in Division I football who also exhibits the enduring characteristics that define Earl Campbell: integrity, performance, teamwork, sportsmanship, drive, community and tenacity. Additionally, candidates must meet one or more of the following criteria: born in Texas and/or graduated from a Texas High School and/or played at a Texas-based junior college or four-year college.

Reagor (#1), a junior wide receiver, is on the Preseason All-Big 12 team and was tabbed the state’s best wide receiver by Dave Campbell’s Texas Football. In 2018, Reagor had a team-best 72 receptions and 1,061 yards receiving. Forty-four of his 72 catches (61.1 percent) went for a first down or touchdown. He set a TCU record with seven consecutive games with a scoring grab.

In voting by his teammates, Reagor was the Frogs’ 2018 Dan Rogers Most Valuable Player. He is the only wide receiver in TCU and Big 12 history to top 100 yards rushing and 90 yards receiving in a single game, something he did against Oklahoma State in the Frogs’ win.

The Horned Frogs have never had a Biletnikoff winner, but consensus first-team All-American Josh Doctson was a finalist for the award in 2015. TCU quarterback Davey O’Brien won the 1938 Maxwell Award.

Jeff Gladney: Has been named to watch lists for the Lott IMPACT Trophy, the Jim Thorpe Award, the Chuck Bednarik Award and the Bronko Nagurski Trophy. Additionally, he was selected to the 2019 Media Preseason All-Big 12 Football Team.

The Lott IMPACT Trophy is presented annually to the college football defensive IMPACT player of the year. IMPACT is an acronym for: Integrity, Maturity, Performance, Academics, Community, and Tenacity.

The Jim Thorpe Award has been awarded to the top defensive back in college football since 1986.

The Chuck Bednarik Award is presented annually to the defensive player in college football as judged by the Maxwell Football Club to be the best in the United States.

The Bronko Nagurski Trophy recognizes the best defensive player in college football.

Gladney (#12), a senior cornerback, was an All-Big 12 selection a season ago. He tied for second nationally among cornerbacks last season in lowest completion percentage allowed (33.3, 23-of-69) when targeted. Pro Football Focus rated him No. 1 in the Big 12 in lowest passer rating allowed (46.9) with a minimum of 200 coverage snaps. He also ranked No. 1 in the conference in only surrendering a reception every 16.5 coverage snaps.

Gladney’s team-best 13 pass breakups were second in the Big 12 conference, and he tied for the TCU lead with two interceptions. He had a pick and a career-high four pass-breakups in the 31-24 victory over Oklahoma State, which came while defending Cowboys wide receiver and Biletnikoff Award finalist Tylan Wallace.

Gladney has made 32 career starts, the most among active Horned Frogs, and has TCU’s longest active streak for consecutive starts with 22.

Kelton Hollins: Is on the watch list for the Rimington Trophy and the watch list for the Wuerffel Trophy.

The Rimington Trophy is awarded to the nation’s top center annually. TCU All-American Jake Kirkpatrick won the trophy in 2010.

The Wuerffel Trophy honors college football’s top community servant.

Hollins (#55), a junior center, is TCU’s Big 12 Champions for Life representative and has been nominated for the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team. Hollins is involved with TCU FCA, was a Frog Camp Leader this past summer, and has been heavily involved with SPARK, an organization that works with underprivileged students locally.

Darius Anderson: Is on the watch list for the Doak Walker Award, which honors college football’s best running back, and the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award.

Anderson (#6), a senior running back, has rushed for over 1,500 yards and scored 12 touchdowns in his TCU career. His 5.7 yards per carry average is sixth in TCU history. Playing in 11 games, Anderson finished just shy of 600 yards last season. He had 154 yards on 12 carries against Ohio State, including a 93-yard touchdown run that is the longest rushing play from scrimmage in TCU history.

LaDainian Tomlinson won the Doak Walker Award in 2000.

Ross Blacklock: Is on the watch list for the Chuck Bednarik Award and the Outland Trophy.

The Bednarik Award is presented to college football’s defensive player of the year.

The Outland Trophy is awarded to the nation's top interior lineman.

Blacklock (#90), a junior defensive tackle, was elected as the best defensive lineman in the state by Dave Campbell’s Texas Football, Blacklock is returning this season after a fall camp injury sidelined him for all of 2018.

Lucas Niang: Is on the watch list for the Outland Trophy, which is awarded to the nation's top interior lineman.

Niang (#77), a senior offensive tackle, was the only TCU offensive lineman last season to start all 13 games. He did not allow a sack. He had an 86.3 percent grade by Pro Football Focus. This makes him the highest-graded pass blocker among Big 12 offensive tackles who played a ninimum of 300 snaps in 2018 and return this fall.

Niang was second-team All Big 12 last season and was selected to the 2019 Media Preseason All-Big 12 Football team.
