Georgia First, TCU Third in Final College Football Playoff Ranking; #2 Michigan Awaits Horned Frogs


Georgia (13-0) is first, Michigan (13-0) is second, TCU (12-1) and Ohio State (11-1) is fourth in the final College Football National Championship Playoff ranking that was released on Sunday, December 4.

In the first Playoff semifinal, TCU will play Michigan, in the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl, at 3 pm (Central), on Saturday, December 31, in Glendale, Arizona.

In the second Playoff semifinal, Georgia will play Ohio State, in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl, at 7 pm (Central), on Saturday, December 31, in Atlanta, Georgia.

The two winners of the semifinal games will play in the 2022 season's College Football Playoff National Championship game, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, on Monday, January 9, 2023.

Big 12 Championship Game-winner Kansas State is ranked 10th, with an 10-3 record.

Big 12 traitor Texas is ranked 20th, with an 8-4 record.
