2022 TCU Football Spring Game Set for April 22

TCU Football will hold a spring game on Friday, April 22, at Amon G. Carter Stadium, in Fort Worth, Texas.

Billed as "Friday Night Lights At The Carter," festivities will begin at 6 pm with Happy Hour. Kickoff for the game is 7 pm.

Former TCU Football Stars Howard, Noteboom Become "Super Frogs"

Former TCU linebacker Travin Howard and former TCU offensive lineman Joe Noteboom of the Los Angeles Rams became the latest Horned Frogs to be Super Bowl Champions after the Rams' 23-20 win over the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl LVI, on February 13.

Twenty-two Horned Frogs have won Super Bowl championship rings. Eleven different TCU players have been on Super Bowl winning teams in the last 16 seasons.

Howard and Noteboom made it eight of the last nine years for a Horned Frog to be on a Super Bowl team. They both were selected by the Rams in the 2018 NFL Draft and made their second Super Bowl trip with the club.

Howard had the game-saving interception with just over a minute remaining in the Rams' 20-17 win over San Francisco in the NFC Championship Game. He added two tackles in the game, including one for loss. He made two starts and totaled 18 tackles on the season.

Howard was a two-time First-Team All-Big 12 selection at TCU and Honorable-Mention Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year. He was also named the Valero Alamo Bowl Defensive Most Valuable Player twice in three years. His 108 tackles as a senior made him the first player in TCU history to lead the team in that category in three straight years and to record three consecutive 100-stop seasons. He totaled 343 tackles as a Horned Frog.

Noteboom made two starts while appearing in 15 games for the Rams this season and has 17 career starts. Noteboom started all 40 games his final three seasons at TCU and was Honorable-Mention All-Big 12 in 2017. The Plano, Texas, native played his senior year as a graduate student and was a four-time Academic All-Big 12 honoree.
